If you are in game don't log out, if you are out of game don't log out. You will not be able to get back in if you do because, as I posted in the title, the loggin servers are totally messed up. I am so happy right now.

*The Senate is EXTREMELY proud of our Legion tonight. An operation was called by Rebel High Command, and MEK answered in full force. The Imperial's were base busting, Rebel bothan spies, including a horny one, found out the location, and the Rebel Army, lead by mostly MEKers, set out to interupt this Imperial party.
*When our Legion arrived, they found themselves out numbered by 5 to 1, but still managed to defeat the Imperials by using the Rebel bases they planed to bust against them, and reset one of the Rebel bases, preventing the imperials from getting that much more GCW points if they later returned to their base bust.
All Imperials present at the Base bust either fled for their miserable lives, or died trying to oppress the freedom fighters droping their commrades one by one!
The following will be awarded the MEK Rebel Medal of valor at tomorrows Senate session.
Gabirel Shadeslayer Skab Jetwing Judi Mack Syphon
If you were at this battle, please let me know and you too will be awarded your medal acordingly.
Special thanks to Mafia and TJA for also sending some warriors to assist us.
* MEK should now be on full alert during our own base busts, as the imperials will be actively seeking revenge for this black eye.
During SOE Fan Faire 2007, the Star Wars Galaxies team shared a preview of Chapter 7 during the Galaxies Gathering session. If you didn't make it to Fan Faire this year, here's your chance to get an early look at the exciting new features planned for the next Chapter! Heroic encounters, a collection system, species origins, and more are all on deck for Chapter 7.
Heroic Encounters
A heroic encounter is a high-level challenge for a group of players looking to earn a huge reward. These encounters will take place in an instanced zone where players will take on challenging foes in epic battles like no other.
During the Galaxies Gathering, the team gave panel attendees a sneak peek at Axkva Min and her protectors.
Players who complete a quest or a series of quests can gain access to the underground caves where Axkva Min has been sealed after falling out of favor with the Nightsisters. The group of up to eight players will encounter multiple protectors, each with their own abilities, creating a series of boss fights culminating in a grand battle with a newly re-designed Axkva Min.
In these heroic encounters and quests, high level players can not only confront Axkva Min, but also a legion of Tusken warriors, as well as other familiar faces in the Star Wars universe.
These challenging quests center around the Township of Aurilia on Dathomir. Paemos is the new mayor of this growing community. Aurilia has become a hub of activity for adventurers looking for allies to take on some of the strongest and most dangerous creatures in the galaxy.
The Township will be a gathering spot for all players to prepare for heroic encounters. Groups will be quickly transported from the Township of Aurilia to the entrance for these extraordinary quests, making this the ideal location for everyone to gather and coordinate their efforts.
Collection System
Galactic adventurers and explorers alike will enjoy gathering special items across the planets as part of the new collection system coming in Chapter 7. Players have collected in-game badges since the launch of Star Wars Galaxies, and the collection system expands this idea on a grand scale.
Players will not only gather badges, but will also be able to "collect" kills of specific creatures, as well as various items scattered across the galaxy. Rewards for completing a collection can range from credits, to more exotic and rare rewards yet to be revealed.
Species Origins
In Chapter 7, every character will have the chance to reflect upon their humble beginnings in the galaxy. A human who grew up serving the Empire? An orphaned Twi'lek raised by Wookiees in the jungle village of Kerritamba ? Or perhaps an Ithorian smuggler with a weathered mentor who showed her the ropes long ago?
With the origins system, players will be able to craft their own background stories to receive a special one-time bonus. For example, traders can choose an origin that leads to bonuses in experimentation, while other choices might even lead to a new ability. It's all up to you to choose a story and history that best suits your character and play style.
Other Chapter 7 Features
The Imperial series of quests will be revamped, similar to the Rebel Theme Park changes in Chapter 6: Masters of the Wild. The new content will be aimed at higher level players looking for new challenges from the upper echelons of the Galactic Empire.
New additions to the game interface, hundreds of objects, badges, and rewards, and the Chapter 7 gift are all coming in the next major update to Star Wars Galaxies! Chapter 7 is currently planned for September 2007.

Greetings MEKers,
I am pleased to announce that Duke Cody/Diah of MEK-EQ2 PvP has added yet another perk to our Communities many benefits. Below is featured the lovely Elite Knight Bevv of MEK-EQ2 PvP, showing off this latest perk.
Duke Cody has secured for MEK a cheap and reliable way to provide MEK hats for ALL chapters of our global Community. These hats will be sold via the MEK Store (which opens shortly), and will be priced at cost and shipping and handling. Currently the hats will run around 10 bucks a piece! CHEAP! They will feature the name of the chapter, and that chapters main symbol featured in their Chapter Crest. The pricing is by stitch, so we will be keeping them as simple as possible to keep the price down.
Stay tuned to the forums for further announcements regarding these hats, and don't forget to give Cody/Diah a hearty pat on the back!
ColdBoot was elected the April/07 'Pie Seeker' of MEK. He has been around for the last one and a half years contributing to MEK-EQ2 and to the Global MEK Community as a whole. He is MEK's head programmer for our Web Site Development team, a Forum Red Name and TeamSpeak Admin, as well as a Father of three rug rats, and husband to a Lady. When Xon left us high and dry, Coldboot steped up with his open source moisturization!.
ColdBoot was nominated for April, because it was the month of his most recent accomplishment for MEK, the most recent Server Transfer. It was the fifth server transfer sence our Web Site came into being and ColdBoot's second as Lead Programer of MEK.
Last but not least, everyone supported this nomination, and thus Lady Leerah did not have to cry.
All Hail Duke Coldboot, 'Pie Seeker' of March/07.

The Pie Seekers of the MEK Gaming Community represent all that it means to be MEK. Over the last seven years, MEK has evolved, and re-invented itself time and time again, each new form better than the last. As a community, we learn from the past, and better anticipate the future.
For it is those MEKers whom are able to call themselves, ‘Pie Seeker’ stand as the columns our Virtual Empire is built on. From henceforth, as commanded by a 10 YES, and 0 No Vote by the MEK Global Congress, members who contribute to the over all MEK Gaming Community, stand out in the forums, who have done great things in multiple chapters, added to the prestige that is MEK or defended, upheld, and enforced the standards set down by the MEK Manifesto are to be called ‘Pie Seekers’.
The MEK Global Congress, charged by the Manifesto as the ruling body of the community is responsible for awarding this title, as they are charged with cross Chapter issues.
This award is given out only once a month, to one person, and no one person shall receive it more than once a year. Twelve Pie Seekers a year.
And with that, the Global Congress quickly nominated and approved Lady Denuve of MEK-EQ2 to receive the first Title.
Denuve was elected MEK's first 'Pie Seeker'. She has been around for the last two years, making MEK a better community all the while. She is as much a MEKer as TVA, myself or Tanz. She has provided near 24/7 commitment to our community, both on the EQ2 and Global stages. She's been there during ever hacker attack, server transfer, and downtimes.
Denuve is a Server Admin and regularly takes up forum jobs most other Red Names like my self find tedious and confusing, like registration, forum creations, user group management, roster clean up and best of all, drama killer.
Last but not least, she brought pie to MEK, and she brought enough for everyone! ;D
About half a year ago, the MEK Chapter in the game Guild Wars, "Magmus Eternal Kingdom" was hijacked by a traitor who was exiled from MEK-SWG. The pretender to the throne took over all power and demoted the existing leadership structure. Following the coup, those who were still playing were ordered to leave the guild and an exodus followed, MEK ceased its operations in Guild Wars.
I am pleased to announce that a few loyal MEKers who remained inside the 'Magmus Eternal Kingdom', have successfully overthrown the traitor, and completed his exile from the MEK Gaming Community. Valrel of MEK-SWG, and his brother Borath Broadhand, have completed their coup to retake the Throne in the name of MEK, and effectively striped the Exile of all power, and removed him from our in-game roster entirely.
All in-game wealth, territory, and the home Island and Castle have all been recaptured. The MEK Gaming Community commends Valrel's and his brother's efforts. We now honor them as MEK Heroes, and welcome them into the club of MEK Chapter Leaders. They have removed a scar that has haunted our community for far to long.
